Butterfly Fly Away

We made a visit to Olbrich Gardens to see the butterfly exhibit.  What fun to have so many beautiful creatures flying and landing all around and on us.

ACT 8 Old Friends

There are so many very good people we have met through the ACT Ride.  We look forward so much to seeing them for four days each summer.  We love them all, and hold them dear.  Hopefully we'll see them more frequently.  Danny and Shirl above...

ACT 8 Food Crew

As always, an awesome group of people assembled to join Food Crew this year.  Here, Adam cooked his noodle while Beth sautes zukes.    Lisa laughs in the background...

Leah flips a fine cake.
We also have great people turn out to volunteer each year.   Eric and Margaret are serving up tacos, while JD stops to chat with them.
Daniel scrubbing pots...
Does it look like Adam is posing in many of these shots?  I wonder why?
Barb McKinney gets in on the griddle action too.
Adam mugs some more.
Leah runs the dessert station.
Adam's famous pork gravy.
Bruce and Elspeth, hard working volunteers.
All this works makes... Happy Eaters!

ACT 8 AM Pit

Once again, the fam turned out for the ACT ride, a charity bicycle ride that raises money for the Madison AIDS Network.  We love supporting this cause, and helping our friends, old and new, complete this journey.

It is a challenging ride, through the beautiful Wisconsin landscape.  The riders have a strong support system of crew members that help them complete this life-changing event.

Ophelia, Avery and Jack helped out at the AM Pit.  It is hard work, involves a lot of set up, and some very early mornings.  But the bright smiles on the faces of the Pit crew translate into brighter smiles on the riders.  This, along with encouraging proper nutrition and hydration, is one of the very important goals of AM Pit.
