The Latest Art Find
Elli and Avery have been having great fun with an option on our new computer that allows then to create their own funky photos.
Shhh...We're sleeping
Jack has made his plans quite clear, so we're reading up on co-sleeping to try to find ways to make it work even better for us. But Mr. Jack loves it. Now he sleeps contentedly, and so can we. He's his own little man though, and doesn't seem very concerned about what the 'experts' say he should and shouldn't do.
He's teaching us quite a bit.

Baby steps
We are thrilled to report that Jack has decided that he can sleep next to us in bed! He isn't 100% certain that this is any better than snuggling up on Daddy and Mommy; but he is sure it beats the crib and bassinet. We'll work on changing his mind about that bit later. Right now, we're just happy to sleep! But since you can see how peaceful and cuddly nap-time can get, we'll probably be missing these moments before we know it.
What's cooking?
We love to eat just about as much as we love to cook and bake in this house! We find that it is essential to plan out the entire week's menu in order to save time and money. Recently, the kids have been tasked with deciding what that menu should be in our attempt to fight the new pickiness that seems to be getting worse. Elli is helping Thom create family vegetarian taco night. A huge hit!

Jack's Had a Rough Day

Out and About
Jack is getting out more and more often-- everyday we go somewhere, usually with a bit of a drive. He gets out of his carrier and back into it, has been changed and fed on the road. We're trying to ramp him up for next month when mom goes back to work and Jack travels several times a day to take his sisters to and from school. Although he gets cranky about the confinement after a while, he's becoming a good back seat driver.

Bartender, just leave the bottle.
Jack had his first bottle yesterday, and did quite well with it. He downed a good ounce or so at one sitting and then followed it up with most of another two ounces. He had little issue with the bottle vs. the Real Thing: it only took him a moment to decide to drink it up.
No photo of the auspicious event though, since the reason he drank it is that Mom was away...
